In July 2022, South Korean dancer NO:ZE (Noh Ji Hye) faced criticism for alleged “power abuse” concerning her treatment of small fashion brands. Reports indicated that while she consistently showcased luxury brand products on her social media, she failed to post or later deleted sponsored content from smaller brands, despite contractual agreements.
Initially, NO:ZE’s agency, Starting House, denied these allegations. However, they subsequently reversed their stance, acknowledging the issue and issuing an apology on behalf of NO:ZE. The agency stated that both they and NO:ZE recognized the seriousness of the situation and were reflecting on it, committing to preventing similar incidents in the future.
